Not being a cross-dresser, I never had the desire to wear dog clothing… that is, until I saw these "alternative" dog t-shirts from Japanese design company Shikisai.

Being a big fan of ink drawings, I naturally took to these elegant designs. Their simplicity, their form, their downright aplomb caught me totally off guard and I suddenly wanted to own them. Not for my dog; for me!

The stark black on white drawing is totally modern which is totally me, and just the way I would dress my dog if I dressed him. Then again, why not dress him? Which one should I choose?

The Basketball Shoes dog t-shirt with the real shoelaces?

The Umbrella dog t-shirt with the nylon fabric umbrella tab?

What's an alternative t-shirt? The simple, elegant, hand-drawing of a common object on a common t-shirt and the promise of a surprise -- one little part of the drawing is always real.
