The Catch
Submitted on April 23rd, 2006 by Sally (not verified)I don't understand why Thompson doesn't play up the fact that everybody who owns kid's sports crap is going to buy the receiver's training pole. The judges keep saying "who would buy this?" and "what's the market potential?" Heck, anyone with kids can tell you they have closets full of stuff exactly like this. Any parent who would buy, say, a backyard soccer practice net, would put this product under the Christmas tree for both boys and girls who have an interest in football or whose parents *wish* they had an interest in football!
Football, Babies, property, health, speller
Submitted on April 23rd, 2006 by Sy (not verified)The next great invention should be something that helps people in a BIG way.
The catch......too gimmicky.....NO
The car seat.........if it works then YES
The sack master..........property and lives........Yes
The germ filtering toilet seat....if it works YES
The teaching spelling game...to much of a "learning curve"...maybe
It's a no brainer that the winner should represent the best attempt at helping people in a BIG way.Sports equiptment don't cut it. Health and safety do.
No Brainer?
Submitted on April 23rd, 2006 by Sally (not verified)I have a brain, and the criteria of the *show* is that the invention be marketable, a money-maker. Helping people is nice, but it's not the American Humanitarian/Inventor show.
Come to think of it, the name should be changed to American InvenTION, since any great inventOR would have multiple ideas and not have such a limited view that he'd sink all his resources into one thing that can't even be vertically marketed without major spinnage.
As far as the sack master, the patent has probably already been sold.

Response to " No brainer"
Submitted on April 26th, 2006 by ramsbabyLooks like you don't have a brain you have no clue what these INVENTORS have in there closets. I'm sure 9 out of 10 of these guys have more then one idea. But the show called for only one idea. And it was about what was going to make a difference.
And how would you know what has been sold or bought. Did you buy it?
