Everyday Edisons invites all inventors and innovators to attend the casting calls set up throughout the counrty. The casting call will also be complimented by a full day of free seminars, including an opportunity to meet with experts from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
The Everyday Edisons panel of judges, including product development and patent law experts, provides a forum for participants to present and demonstrate original ideas. The judges will select 10 to 12 inventors to be featured in the show's third season, which chronicles the inventors as their concept is refined, produced, marketed and sold.
The show will look at a broad range of inventions and in various states of development, ranging from sketched ideas and simple concepts to detailed, patented designs and factory prototypes. Those with factory prototypes or finished products will also be reviewed by representatives from major retailers, such as Bed Bath & Beyond, QVC, PetSmart, The Sharper Image, and buybuyBaby.
The series invests thousands of dollars into each chosen invention, with no cost to the inventor.
