$300 Million to Inventor of More Efficient Car-Battery

In an effort to help Americans be less dependant on foreign oil John McCain has made a $300 million proposal. He announced his proposal recently at an event at the student union at California State University in Fresno. This $300 million proposal is to be rewarded to the inventor of a more efficient car-battery to power hybrid and electric vehicles.

Intel® 2008 Awards: Teen Winners Make Amazing Contributions To Their Fields!

The three young women who won top awards for their "science projects" for the 2008 Intel® Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) each won $50,000 scholarships from the Intel Foundation as part of their awards. They are already at the level of Eve Curie! Take a look at their "science projects!"

For Kids By Kids: Chocolate Flavored Brussel Sprouts

Three third-graders from Annapolis, MD have invented "The Micro Flavor Machine," and won a shot at the finals of the 2008 Toshiba/National Science Teachers Association ExploraVision Awards.

Ever watched the Design Squad? Design Squad is a kids program on PBS consisting of 8 young engineers. As a team these young engineers take on engineering challenges for an actual client such as Ikea. There are 13 episodes per season. In the final episode the top two contestants compete, "for the Grand Prize-a $10,000 college scholarship from the Intel® Foundation".
